YNN, Time Warner Cable's 24-hour news channel, is making staff changes at its Rochester operation as part of a larger restructuring.

Lara Pritchard of Time Warner Cable said that all the changes had not yet been resolved and that meetings were being held with Rochester staffers Monday. Some reassignments to Buffalo and Albany were part of the discussions, but she added that Rochester-based reporters would remain.

"The people our Rochester viewers are used to see bringing them Rochester news will still be there," she said. Other positions could be affected, she said, though a final determination about staff size could not be made until all the discussions with employees were held. She did not provide specifics about the restructuring.

"We're expanding our Buffalo operation, and this and improved technology enable us to do more for viewers," Pritchard said. "This is a good thing for YNN viewers."

Bonadio ranked among leadersThe Bonadio Group, an accounting, consulting and financial services firm with offices in Rochester, Buffalo, Syracuse, Albany, Geneva and Perry, is among the nation's top 100 tax and accounting firms ranked by trade magazine Accounting Today.

The program salutes the nation's top revenue-producing CPA practices. The Bonadio Group debuted on the list in 2007, ranking 99th. It is No. 70 on the list this year, moving up a spot from last year.

CEO Thomas Bonadio said the firm's recognition is due in part to expanding its small-business and tax-exempt divisions while many other CPA firms were struggling.
