Blaze damages Euless townhomes

EU­LESS -- Fire­fight­ers bat­tled an apart­ment/con­do fire Friday night that dam­aged sev­eral units and displaced eight to 10 people, fire of­ficials said.

The fire broke out about 6 p.m. in the 200 block of E. Harwood Road at Harwood Park Townhome Village.

Two po­lice offi­cers and a civil­ian were treated at the scene for smoke inha­lation and a fire­fight­er was treated at the scene for minor injuries, fire spokesman Ver­non Gilmore said.

Nu­mer­ous fire de­part­ments as­sisted Eu­less, including Bedford, Colleyville, D/FW Airport, Fort Worth, Hurst and Grapevine.

The cause of the blaze was under inves­tigation late Friday. -- Nicholas Sakelaris and Marty Sab­ota
