Crab Pickin' TGIF takes place Aug. 12 at Norfolk's Town Point Park
Festevents is presenting Crab Pickin’ at the Point TGIF from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 12, at the TowneBank Fountain Park in Town Point Park along the downtown Norfolk waterfront.
Folks will be serving up locally caught Chesapeake Bay blue crabs fresh from the mouth of the Elizabeth River. Beverages will be provided by Omar’s Café, and live music will be performed by the Michael Clark Band.
Admission to the event is free, while food and beverage will be available for purchase. Blue crab jimmies will be priced at: $8 half dozen, $16 dozen, $50 half bushel and $90 bushel.
Lawn Chairs and blankets are welcome. Coolers, food and soft drinks are permitted, though no alcohol or glass is permitted. Food and alcohol will be available for purchase during the festival.
