KU gets sci-fi author Theodore Sturgeon’s papers
Manuscripts, private letters and other papers by an influential science fiction writer have been donated to the University of Kansas.
A collection of the late author Theodore Sturgeon’s books, papers and correspondence will be housed at the Kenneth Spencer Research Library at KU, which also is home to the Center for the Study of Science Fiction.
Included are the original manuscript and film script treatments of “More Than Human,” Sturgeon’s best-known novel.
Sturgeon is known for transforming the pulp magazine short story into an art form, according to the university.
