Alex Kazim

President and Chairman of the Board

An accomplished Silicon Valley leader, Alex held several high-level positions during his nine-year tenure at eBay Inc. He served most recently as president of Skype, eBay's Internet communications company. As senior vice president of new ventures, Alex was responsible for developing eBay's product offerings worldwide. When he worked as vice president of marketing and business operations for PayPal, the eBay-owned online payment company, Alex increased revenue from $200 million to $700 million. He first joined eBay as director of engineering, and prior to that, he was CEO of the video game company Ix Entertainment. With a degree in mechanical engineering from Rice University, Alex began his career as a software developer at Apple.

Yasmin Namini

Senior Vice President, Marketing and Circulation General Manager, Reader Applications

Yasmin Namini is Senior Vice President, Marketing and Circulation and General Manager, Reader Applications for the New York Times Media Group. She is responsible for marketing The Times's brand across print, Web and mobile platforms, including The New York Times and NYTimes.com. She is also responsible for circulation of The New York Times.

Yasmin was named Senior Vice President, Marketing and Circulation, for The New York Times Media Group in 2007 and prior to that, Senior Vice President, Circulation, for The New York Times newspaper in 2006. Previously, she was Chief Customer Officer for the New England Media Group since 2005. Before that, she served as Senior Vice President, Consumer Marketing at the New England Newspaper Group and Senior Vice President, Circulation at The Boston Globe since 2000. She also served as Vice President, Circulation Marketing at The New York Times since 1999.

Yasmin joined The Times in 1984 in the circulation department and held positions of increasing responsibility in sales, marketing, planning and product development.

Yasmin received a B.S. degree in psychology from the University of Maryland and a Master's degree in applied statistics from Villanova University.

Yasmin currently serves on the Board of Directors of the International Newsmedia Marketing Association, the Times Square Alliance and the Boston Children's Museum. She is also on the New York advisory committee of the News Literacy Project.

Dan Haarmann

Chief Executive Officer

Dan manages all of the company's operations, employees and strategic growth plans. He previously served as Ongo's COO and CFO. Prior to Ongo, Dan was the vice president of finance and operations at Axiom Global Inc, a new model law firm, and spent four years at eBay, rising to North American Controller, eBay Marketplaces. He began his career as an auditor with PriceWaterhouseCoopers in Boston.

Vijay Ravindran

SVP, CDO, The Washington Post Company

Vijay Ravindran is senior vice president and chief digital officer of The Washington Post Company. Previously, as chief technology officer of Catalist LLC, which built a national voter database of information on more than 260 million people, Ravindran led all the technology aspects of developing the company's software products and services. Prior to Catalist, Ravindran was a technology director at Amazon, where he led the group responsible for consumer purchasing, including the product development and operations for the "Your Account," "Shopping Cart," "1-Click" and "Proceed to Checkout" components, as well as the initial creation and management of "Amazon Prime."

John A. (Jack) Williams

President, Gannett Digital Ventures

Jack Williams is the President of Gannett Digital Ventures, which oversees Gannett's portfolio of online classified companies and other diversified businesses. He represents Gannett in various partnerships and investments and serves on the Board of Directors for Careerbuilder, Classified Ventures, Homefinder.com, MetroMix, Imaginova, quadrantONE, Ongo, Topix, as well as several other companies. Jack also serves on the Gannett Management Committee and is responsible for the development and implementation of online strategies, partnerships, or investment initiatives across all digital platforms.
